헌국 [han-kook] -- Korea 한양대학교 [han-yang-dae-hag-kyo] -- Hanyang University 건축학 [kon-chuk-hag] -- the study of Architecture 안녕하세요 [an-nyong-ha-seh-yo] -- hello/how are you? 감사합니다 [kam-sa-hap-ni-da] -- thank you! and this is my name: 배해한 [bae-hye-han]
: ) : ) : )
My mentor came down to my room to help me with my korean homework. And after just 20 mins, my brain feels like I just sat through a 5 hour studio session! My brain is fried. Korean language is so difficult!
Hyehanorini originated from my whimsical desire to document my life in Korea but has slowly evolved into a place for me to share my learning journey with the people who mean a lot to me. Hyehan is my name in Korean and orini means little child. It was a nickname given to me by my Korean friend and was adopted because of my belief in seeing the world through the eyes of a child. I believe that laughing and smiling is the secret to a happy life. I tell myself everyday that there is nothing wrong with making mistakes, and its okay not to get things right the first time. I believe in working hard to make things happen, but no matter how busy we are, there’s always time for ice cream :) And so, I hope you will enjoy yourself as you join me in discovering new things about life, architecture and people. Through the eyes of Hyehan the orini, that is.
